Wherever you start in the business, you'll benefit from a comprehensive induction - and by the time you join, your manager will already have drawn up a training plan for your first few weeks. We don't expect you to learn all you need to know in a couple of days; it's about setting objectives that are realistic and achievable, but at the same time give you a chance to stretch yourself.
You can discuss your progress with your Manager as often as you like, and you'll also have a formal review half way through your three-month probation period, and one at the end. Regular appraisals from then on will give you the chance to gain valuable feedback on your performance, and discuss your plans for the future. There are ongoing opportunities to take advantage of internal and external training programmes.
