Following a management buy out in September 2007, Virgin Retail Ltd, known on the high street as Virgin Megastores became zavvi Entertainment Group. We are now the largest independent entertainment retailer, with 125 stores in the UK and Eire.

We pride ourselves on having the widest range of music on the high street, in fact our Oxford Street Megastore sells over 7,000 CDs per day! As well as being the consummate retailer of music our Games and DVD offer are hard to beat.

We are also embracing new trends and technology. We have a well established web based ordering system, and a website that offers as much range, campaign and chart product as you would get in any high street entertainment Store.

It's important for our stores to be part of the local entertainment scene and we reflect this by adapting our product offer to local needs. Many of our stores also offer live appearances and in-store signings by established, up and coming, and local artists. Our Manchester store even has a whole floor dedicated to staging live events.

Wherever possible we also work with local charities, and have an established training scheme in place that works with underprivileged young adults in the Manchester area.
